Tanuj Namboodri has completed his long-anticipated series of paintings dedicated to the Panch Kedar temples, a spiritual journey he began in 2020. Starting with Kedarnath, Namboodri painted Tungnath in 2022, followed by Madmaheshwar in 2023, and now, in 2024, he presents Rudranath & Kalpeshwar.

Rudranath, the fourth temple in the series, is located in the Garhwal Himalaya and represents the "Angry" aspect of Lord Shiva. Known for its ancient architecture and spiritual energy, Namboodri’s artwork captures the temple’s mysticism. “I hope viewers can feel the powerful vibes through the painting,” he said, describing the experience of having the painting blessed by the priest at the temple.

In addition, Namboodri’s depiction of Kalpeshwar, the final of the Panch Kedar temples, brings his series to a close. Located in the Urgam Valley, Kalpeshwar is the only temple open year-round, dedicated to Lord Shiva’s jata (matted hair). “The priest’s warm welcome and invitation to unveil the painting inside felt divinely guided,” Namboodri shared.

With this series complete, Namboodri now plans to turn his artistic focus toward the 7 Badris temples, continuing his journey of capturing sacred landscapes on canvas.
